For centuries, the sandstone hills were used in the west from Linz for beer and wine cellar. During the Second World War existing cellars were expanded to huge, mile-long air-raid shelters, which was to build on the exploitation of concentration camp inmates who were housed in the cleat, resorted to. In the context of contemporary historical tours with specially trained austriaguides it is possible to visit a part of the Linzer air raid shelters. In the tunnel it is dark, cold and damp. The floor is uneven. Make sure to wear good shoes, warm clothing and bring a torch. Helmets are provided. Each / participant / in advance must sign a disclaimer. For children under the age of 14 participating in the lead content (forced labor, air war, etc.) is not recommended.
